Weekend Edition #4

Not much of an update today. I’ve been having a fairly relaxed day off.

When Sara got home from work last night we went down to Bournemouth to support our friend Teila who was running the Oxjam Music Festival down there this year. Dozens of bands/musicians, a bunch of different venues, all day. Its a really cool charity event thats been going on for years now. Sara was actually part of the 2011 team so it has always held a special place in her heart.

We only hit a couple of the venues and saw two bands as we were heading down fairly late but also didn’t want to be out too long. It was definitely challenging for me being in places with good beer for the first time since starting my month off.

The first band that we saw, Burd, were a really good bluesy Americana band. I liked them a lot and The Four Horseman is a really good bar in Bournemouth. The second band, at the Cellar bar were either people we knew or had played for Sara at her place so while still really good, we kind of knew what we were going to get.

We got our first game of Pandemic Legacy Season 2 set up and ready to play today but Sara’s flu has come back with a vengeance and she’s been pretty delirious all afternoon. At the moment she’s getting ready to go to work despite my advisement. She always feels like she has to go in even when she can barely move or string a sentence together. Hopefully the other manager will see this and offer to cover… I doubt it, but we’ll see.

I’m going to watch the Colts game at 5:00, urgh thats been a shit show this year, and then if she is still at work, I’ll be heading into town afterward to support Sara as her Cowboys take on the Redskins. Pandemic will have to wait until tomorrow.

Thats going to be it for today. Check back tomorrow for the start of spoooooky week. Oooooohh.
