All Good Things
Today is my last day of luxury. Not that it’s been particularly luxurious but I found out at lunch time today that I’ll be going to start my new job tomorrow morning.
At four thirty in the morning.
I’ve been doing increasingly early starts for the past six years but nothing that early. I’ve also not been actually having to get up and go to work for nearly a month at this point so I think tomorrow morning is going to be a shock to the system.
It’s honestly one of the times I’m super grateful I’m single and live alone as I am completely and utterly on my own schedule.
I’m planning on getting into bed and reading my book at about nine and hopefully falling asleep by ten ish. I’m not particularly confident I will, I think it’s going to take some adjustment, but that’s the plan.
I’ve got three days of these early starts and then two nights on which will be the flip, starting at four thirty in the afternoon and finishing in the early am. It’s definitely going to take getting used to, but I’m in no way against it. It’s nice knowing that it is just round the corner from home so I don’t have to worry about being up much earlier than necessary and I’ll be home almost immediately after I finish. Having three and four days off in a row at the end of my working weeks will be nice too.
Right, I am going to start winding down and getting ready for bed! Hasta mañana.
