Spinning

The record player I ordered for myself as a Xmas present arrived today and I quickly got it set up and linked to my living room Alexa.

It’s nothing flashy or high end, but it has the functionality I wanted it to have and it is elegant looking enough to sit nicely on my tv stand.

I think I wrote recently that I had picked up a copy of Because The Internet by Childish Gambino, an album that really has become my very favourite. Since then I’ve got a few other records but am sticking to my rule of only getting ones that mean something to me or are special albums from artists I love.

I don’t want to ever get to a point where I’m buying things I’m not listening to, I want these to be evergreen, things that I’ll listen to and appreciate again and again.

There is something really nice about the tactility of it too. It’s cliche to say but it’s true.

So far I’ve only been listening to BTI, most of the day I’ve done similar to yesterday, sat playing video games, but I did do a nice long full workout this morning for the first time in what feels like ages. I’ve been slacking lately due to a number of reasons but I want to get back in the habit of it and today seemed like as good a day as ever.

It’s apparently Monday tomorrow?! Who knew. I’ll see you then.
